A couple of weeks ago saw WCB gathering at a bowling alley in Bracknell to contest the hotly anticipated sporting spectacle that is the annual bowling championship. After five straight wins for the brass section, the woodwind were determined to make a comeback and tensions were running high!
After a hard-fought two games, the results were carefully totted up and the results were announced. With 227, 229 and 234 respectively, Jon, Graham and Annie secured an impressive set of scores for the brass section. However, with an unassailable 243 for principal clarinet Katie and an outstanding 287 for fellow clarinettist Steve, this year’s championship belonged firmly to the woodwind.
