Windsor Castle Grounds
By royal appointment*! WCB are delighted and extremely honoured to be performing at the magnificent and prestigious Windsor Castle this summer! The oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and private home to Her Majesty the Queen, we’ll be performing twice in the castle grounds (for an hour at 12:00 and again at 2:00). We’ve got a fantastic programme of summery music fit for a monarch lined up and with those surroundings, you can’t fail to have a right royal afternoon’s entertainment!
More details when we know more but our understanding is that you will need a ticket to enable you to access the Castle Grounds in order to see the band play – why not make a day of it and explore the whole castle!
*As you might expect, Woodley Concert Band does not have a royal warrant for the provision of musical services to the Queen (or any other member of the royal family for that matter) – we’re pretty sure that all of the superb bands that are part of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces would be pretty upset if we were given a warrant! We’re very excited to be playing at such an incredible venue though and hope that you’ll come and see us perform!
