It’s been a while since we updated you here on what we’ve been up to, for which many apologies. If you’d like to stay in the loop with what’s going on at WCB, it’s usually worth checking out our facebook page here (you don’t have to have a facebook account to see our page). To bring you up to date…
The band had its usual busy Autumn – our Best of British concert went down a (flag-waving) storm (photos here), followed closely by accompanying the local British Legion Festival of Remembrance and Henley-on-Thames’ Remembrance Sunday service.
Since then, we’ve been working hard on music for our Christmas concerts which take place a week from now – we’ve got a really exciting variety of music lined up including plenty of festive favourites, some carols, some solos and one or two extra special moments that we’rekeeping under wraps for now! We’re also delighted to be welcoming back singer Simon Hutson who will be performing two pieces with the band. The two concerts promise to be a really magical Christmassy treat and a brilliant way to get into the festive mood so if you’ve not already bought tickets, don’t delay!
Although there’s still a week to go until our Christmas concerts, we’ve already got the festive season under way with the Woodley Christmas Extravaganza last week and some carolling in Woodley Town Centre and over the next couple of weeks, we’ve got a plethora of festive performances lined up that will keep us busy all the way up ’til Christmas – we hope to see you at some of our gigs!
