Two weeks ago saw Woodley Concert Band giving its first ever concert at Woodley Baptist Church to raise money for the Woodley Pilot Light Trust. The concert featured a wide variety of pieces including music from Grease, Abba, The Big Country, Anything Goes and The Great Escape as well as Gregor and Owen from the trumpet section bringing music to the very heart of the audience with the Posthorn Galop!
The large audience filled the church and enjoyed what was, for many, their first introduction to WCB. The band also enjoyed playing in a new venue and over £400 was raised for this very worthy cause.
